Spring Performance
- The BRPAA spring recital brings all of our classes and levels together for an exciting showcase of the year’s hard work, dedication, and progress.
- Class recital meetings will be held the second week of April during your child's ballet class.
- Please plan to attend this meeting or send someone from your family who can take notes.
- During the recital meeting, you will receive the following information:
- Show Line-Up
- Ticketing information
- Costume information
- Picture day information
- Students begin working on performance choreography in January or February.
- During the second semester, dancers should make every effort to attend all classes.
- If a dancer misses 3 classes in a row, the instructor may request that the child attend a private lesson to catch up on choreography. Private lessons are $30 for a 30-minute lesson, paid in cash at the beginning of the lesson.
- There are no regularly scheduled classes on rehearsal or performance days. The recital activities replace all classes at the studio.
- We will have regular classes at the studio on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of performance week, including May 26th (Memorial Day).
- Our nine-month studio season concludes with the spring recital.
Recital Fees & Tickets
- This year, we’re introducing exciting enhancements to make the spring performance even more enjoyable for our dance families.
- For the first time, we are offering reserved seating to make the recital experience more enjoyable and stress-free. No more rushing to find the best seats – you’ll be able to relax and enjoy the show knowing your seats are reserved just for you.
- Information on how to reserve your seats will be shared at the parent recital meetings in April.
- To order tickets online, recital fees must be paid, and accounts must be in good standing.
Professional Photos
Volunteers
Participation
- Professional photos of the dancers in their recital costumes will be taken on May 4th and/or May 10th.
- All students are encouraged to attend the photo shoot, but it is your choice to purchase the pictures.
Volunteers
- Volunteers are essential to the success of the performance!
- A volunteer sign-up sheet will be available at the recital meeting in April, so please be thinking about how you can serve.
- We will need ushers to scan tickets at the door, ushers to help guests find their seats, and class moms to stay with the class in the dressing area, line them up, and walk them to and from the stage area.
- Only two class moms from each class will be allowed to step into the backstage area to watch during their child’s performance(s).
Participation
- If your child is unable to perform in one or both shows, please let Miss Kelly or Mrs. Karen know as soon as possible so adjustments can be made to choreography.
